Lorraine Currelley, presenting at Free University Kara Walker Exhibit

It was my joy to facilitate such an informed and interesting group. Our workshop was energetic and passionate. I welcomed this opportunity and left enriched for having done so. Here my group is reading from literature I prepared for workshop.

This was an important and needed presentation, thanks to Free University for this opportunity. The missing nuances alone from the overall dialogue demanded my presentation. From my presentation and our community dialogue/discussion came varied interpretations and insights. This was an opportunity to hear rich and diverse voices.

Stereotypes rise out of misconceptions, ones experiences and exposure or lack of. Everyone left better informed and enriched. We also shared dialogue around the Marvelous Sugar Baby purely as a magnificent work of art as well. This was a full experience. Thank you group, for your encouraging and kind words and burst of applause at the end. I’m moved by your response.
