Our Ground: Poems for Trayvon Martin and Marissa Alexander, in a Featured Poetry Reading and Fundraiser, Promoting Justice through Poetry. The event took place at the Countee Cullen Branch, New York Public Library. “Stand Our Ground: Poems for Trayvon Martin and Marissa Alexander” is a global anthology of social justice poetry featuring the work of 65 poets from Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Canada and all across the United States including poet icons Sonia Sanchez, Amiri Baraka, Haki Madhubuti and Askia Toure”.
All proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to the Trayvon Martin Foundation and the Legal Defense Fund for Marissa Alexander. Stand Our Ground can be purchased for $25.00.
