My Response to Nigga Neurosis and Our Reaction, by Damon Young

Nigga Neurosis? The last time I checked the DSM IV TR there was no such diagnosis/disorder as Nigga Neurosis.  Historical fact:  LAPD has a history of racism and violence against it’s citizens. Under the protection of the uniform ( the blue wall of silence) Blacks, People of Color and Whites have been brutally attacked and murdered.

Fact: Mr. Dorner witnessed his partner brutally kick a citizen in the face. He reported the brutality and instead of LAPD being outraged by the actions of this uniformed criminal and firing the brute, Mr. Dorner became LAPD’s target. Mr. Dorner was threatened and harassed. His treatment was so brutal he broke under the pressure and stress. LAPD’s corrupt forces feigned an investigation with the customary results. Results citizens around this country know well. NYC and LA on the count of three SHOUT OUT IN UNISON THE VERDICT, 1-2-3 UNFOUNDED! Once again systematic racism upheld and protected. This is NOT a Black and White Issue! The issue is Police Brutality, Corruption and Systematic Racism! A Systematic Racism and Brutality rooted in police departments across this country.

I do not support Mr. Dorner’s actions, neither will I throw him under the bus or to those in waiting! This was no random impulsive act by someone paranoid nor dillusional. This was an individual who had suffered under the hands of systematic injustice. A systematic injustice that unceasingly sought to destroy him. Chipping away at him daily until he took the measures we know today. I understand the foundation of his anguish and frustrations! While, I do not agree with his methodology, I understand its historical roots. It’s rooted in the history of Enslaved Africans, Jim Crow, Police Brutality and Corruption. It’s rooted in the beating of Rodney King, the murders of Eleanor Bumpers, Trayvon Martin, Brother Bell, Brother Diallo and millions of others known and unknown.

Damon Young do not reach out to the community expecting support when one of LAPD’s has his or her boot stuck up your anus, you’re stopped and frisked, stopped for driving while Black or a gun is pointed at your head. Hiding behide words, supporting LAPD’s brutality, denial will not save you, neither will turning a blind eye to existing systematic racism! This is 2013 and even Billie Holiday had the courage to sing about Strange Fruit.
